About the Company: Oman LNG was established by Royal Decree in 1994 as a joint-stock company with the aim of producing and marketing LNG and its derivatives to global markets. The first commercial production lines commenced operations in 2000, establishing the company as a cornerstone of Oman's energy sector.

Strategically located in Qalhat, the company's complex is situated in the coastal region of Qalhat, near the city of Sur.

This location was carefully chosen for its proximity to the Arabian Sea and the ease of exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to various global markets.

Historically a thriving trading city and an important port in Omani history, Qalhat now houses one of the largest industrial complexes in the Sultanate, seamlessly blending cultural heritage with modern industrial development.

The company operates three main LNG liquefaction trains, with a total production capacity of approximately 10.4 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG, in addition to the production of natural gas liquids (NGLs).
