الدكتورة سعيدة بنت خاطر بن حسن الفارسي
- وُلد 1956
Sa’ida bint Khatir bin Hassan Al-Farsi
* Born in 1956 in the Wilayat of Sur, Sultanate of Oman.
* Omani poet and critic.
* Holds a PhD in Arabic Criticism, Rhetoric, and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum, Cairo University (2002); her thesis was titled "Alienation in the Poetry of Gulf Women."
* Held numerous positions, including: Head of the Arabic Language Department at the Curriculum Directorate; Director of the Minister of Education’s Office; Principal of the Model School for Girls (1980); Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Head of Cultural Activities at Sultan Qaboos University (1986–1996); and Head of Cultural Activities at the Muscat College of Science and Technology (1996–1999).
** Appointed as a member of the State Council by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said (may God protect and preserve him) in 2010.
