Her Highness delivers a speech on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day

Muscat – Oman

The venerable lady, the wife of His Majesty the Sultan /may God protect and preserve her/ addressed a speech on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, which falls on October 17 of each year. The text of the speech is as follows:

Every year, the 17th of October comes to renew our pride and appreciation for the Omani woman who has proven, through her dedication and determination, that success knows no bounds, and that her brilliant imprint appears in all fields, to be a shining beacon in the path of comprehensive renaissance of our beloved country. Her prominent role cannot be overlooked, whether through her cultural, social or economic contributions, as she marches with steady steps towards progress and prosperity, carrying the banner of giving that does not bow, supported by the care of the wise leadership.

The achievements of Omani women are a source of pride and inspiration, and we call on them to continue their great journey, where excellence and creativity are their beacon, and self-development and skill-refinement is their permanent path, to remain a beacon of awareness and positivity, and a voice that rejects extremism and narrow-minded thinking.

We are currently witnessing rapid changes, and women have a double responsibility.

Especially with regard to raising children and protecting the family in light of the boom in modern means of communication that are invading the entire world, and draining people’s time in following what is published through visual and written media that have created new lifestyles and unusual behaviors, which requires intensifying awareness of the importance of dealing with these means with caution and taking the good from them and avoiding the bad.

Every year, may the Omani woman and her sisters from the women of the world be in goodness and peace.
