Wadi Shab

This wadi lies in the nyabah of Tiwi, belonging to the Wilaya of Sur, at a distance of 76 km from Qurayyat. It is regarded as one of the beautiful wadis for which the Al Sharqiyah region is renowned. This wadi was singular in its distinctive location on the coastal road that connects the wilayas of Qurayyat and Sur, where this wadi combined the beautiful coastal nature with the mountain formations that embrace many of the elements of tourist attraction. Wadi Shab is regarded as a singular site, on the edges of which the fresh water descending from the high mountains shakes hands with the salt water of the sea, owing to the wadi's nearness to the sea, which in turn helped create the environmental diversity through which nature shaped elements that set it apart from the rest of the Sultanate's wadis. When you go deep amid the rock formations of this wadi, you are dazzled by the formation of its course, which has formed many water pools and rock shapes carved by the various agents of erosion.
