Name: Al Uruba Club Location: Wilaya of Sur The club was founded in 1972 and re-registered on 26/6/2002. Al Uruba Sports Club is one of the most prestigious clubs in the Sultanate and the Al Sharqiyah region in the Wilaya of Sur, and one of the pillars of Omani football, and one of the strongest contenders for the league, the cup, the elite shield and the champions' shield. It is also a feeder and provider for the various national teams, whether the first team or the age-category teams that represent the Sultanate in international arenas.   Sheikh Salem bin Saeed Al Fanna Al Oraimi is regarded as one of the prominent sporting figures in the Sultanate and for Al Uruba club. He headed the administration of the Oman Football Association from 1994 to 1995, and headed the administration of the Arbawi club for a period, providing much to the club through material and moral support. Al Oraimi is regarded as one of the main supporters of Al Uruba club and stands behind it in all its achievements. Al Uruba played in six finals of the His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Cup and won the championship.
