Nakhoda Saleh bin Abdullah bin Qasim Al Sanani

Nakhoda Saleh bin Abdullah bin Qasim Al Sanani: born in the Omani city of Sur; neither his date of birth nor death is known. He is, however, mentioned in the book by the Yemeni historian "Abd al-Rahman bin Abd al-Karim al-Mallahi" entitled "Aspects of the Scholarly Interchange between the Captains of Yemen and Oman", on page 106, where he writes: "The two captains Al Sanani and Al Shatri added notes, explanations and mathematical calculations in the margins of the book" — referring to the book of Nakhoda Nasser bin Ali bin Nasser Al Khaduri titled "Alerting the Heedless to the Knowledge of the Sea and its Principles".
