Men's Dress in Sur
23 views
Men in the Gulf states have a particular and somewhat similar style: the dress consists of the head covering — the taqiya or the misr — the dishdasha and the izar. The material differs for each piece: the misr may be the haidari, the kashmiri, the half-tarma or the tarma;
while the dishdasha, classified according to source and dye, is the khudri, the sawahil dye, the bafta, the bangali, the sasouni, the brikani and the kura; and finally the izar, classified according to material and the pattern on its edges into the sumaili, the yabri and the half-yabri.
