Nakhoda Hamad bin Salem bin Abdullah Ba Alawi
Nakhoda Hamad bin Salem bin Abdullah Ba Alawi: born in the Omani city of Sur in 1925 and died on 16/11/2000. He did not own a ship of his own but was a nakhoda working for shipowners, having served with each of:
1 = the ship of the sons of Abboud (a sambuk).
2 = Al Hashimi, a sambuk owned by Alawi bin Saleh Al Shihab.
3 = the ship of the Al Hairi family, the sons of Hamad bin Najim Al Ghailani, of the ghanja type.
4 = he then worked as a nakhoda on the ships of the people of the north — the Arabs of Iran on the Arab Gulf coast — for eight years, among them Abdullah bin Hassan.
