Sea captains
Nakhoda Khamis bin Salim bin Abdullah bin Khamis Al Fanna Al Oraimi
Born in the Omani city of Sur in 1905 and died in 1983. A nakhoda who travelled between Oman, Africa, India, Yemen and the Arab Gulf states. He sailed as nakhoda on a number of ships and owned a single ship:
1 = the ship "Al Mahrouqa", of the sambuk type.
2 = he sailed as nakhoda on the ship "Al Mutasahhil" and the ship "Al Nimr".
He was also a renowned folk physician, famous for treating many difficult and rare cases, especially bone injuries and fractures. Among the remedies he used were [myrrh, indigo, black cloth, cuttlefish ink (squid), milk, and Arabic ghee].
