Sea captains
Nakhoda Nasser bin Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Juwaid Al Ghailani
Born in the Omani city of Sur in 1868 and died in 1951. A sea nakhoda recognised for his skill and knowledge in the maritime sciences; he therefore worked on his father's ships in transport, travel and trade between Oman, India, Africa and Yemen. It is noted that most of his voyages were focused on the countries that had direct commercial ties with his father's trade — the businessman Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Mohammed bin Juwaid Al Ghailani.
