Sea captains
Nakhoda Rashid bin Saeed bin Khamis bin Ali Al Mudailawi Al Farsi
Born in the Omani city of Sur in 1895 and died in 1970. He travelled between Oman, Iraq, the Arab Gulf states, Africa, Yemen and India. He owned a number of ships, among them:
1 = Al Awaya, of the ghanja type, which was purchased.
2 = Al Awaya, of the sambuk type, which he built in the city of Sur.
3 = Hisan, of the badan type, which he built in the city of Sur.
He worked as nakhoda on his own ships for a time, then sold them or disposed of them after they were broken up, and worked as nakhoda with:-
1 = Sultan Said bin Taimur, on the ship named (Al Tarrad).
2 = the Al Futaim family in the United Arab Emirates, in the Emirate of Dubai.
3 = Salem bin Mubarak Al Razeeqi, on his ship named (Al Baz), of the sambuk type.
4 = on the ship "Al Mutasahhil", owned by Mubarak bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mudailawi.
